Who should make your video?
Everyone has “a friend with a camcorder” who can take some video,
but you’re unlikely to get good results,
especially if they have not covered a wedding before. Employ a professional
- you won’t regret it!
Here are some pointers to help you select the right person, and get the
best result.
- Book early. The best videographers are booked up well in advance.
- Look at example tapes, and meet the person who will actually make your recording.
- Be clear about what should be included, and get a fixed fee in advance.
- A wedding video is much better if two cameras are used, to catch
different angles.
- If your wedding is in a church, it may impose regulations on recording,
or charge an additional fee.
- Make sure your videographer knows the “order of service”. If you’re
planning any surprises, let him in on the secret!
